An Irish-American couple adopted an African-American boy. When he was about five or six, he started to notice that people stared at him when he was with his family and he grew self-conscious about his skin color.
His mother took him to the supermarket and bought some eggs. At home, she opened a carton of white eggs and broke one into a bowl. She then opened another carton of brown eggs and cracked one of them into the same bowl. “Look,” she said. “Can you see any difference between these eggs?”
